To achieve our voter registration goals, the NRA-FAF is utilizing traditional operations including: on-the-ground field representatives, direct mail, and telephone calls.  In addition, for maximum effectiveness, the NRA-FAF will be employing cutting edge technologies such as internet advertising, text messaging, and social media strategies.

During the pivotal 2008 election cycle, the NRA and NRA-FAF contacted nearly 1.5 million unregistered Second Amendment supporters in 14 states using direct mail and telephone calls to encourage unregistered Second Amendment enthusiasts to register to vote.  Follow up surveys indicate that more than 100,000 of those contacted by NRA registered to vote and voted in the 2008 elections.

The 2009 and 2010 election cycles will be an important opportunity for the NRA-FAF to register supporters to vote.  By using traditional grassroots tactics and cutting edge new media solutions, the NRA-FAF can reach new audiences and create a lasting impact for decades to come.
